		<description>You definitely don&#039;t want to skip meals to lose weight.  As a Registered Dietitian I have witnessed too many times people only eating 1000 calories and wondering why they can&#039;t lose weight or why they gain 5 pounds in one day.  

If you want to permanently lose weight you need to eat frequently throughout the day to keep your metabolism elevated and burning calories.  You also keep the hormone responsible for triggering the starvation mode at bay.
