Cloves, the Spice & Immune System
Cloves can help us all improve our immune systems since fall
weather is upon us and so are the children back to school and
more people are in enclosed buildings and gyms. When we
experience crowds of people, it challenges our immune systems
to filter out all the various germs and bacteria we encounter daily.
Healthy Tips:
Did you know that the spice you have in your spice cabinet is an
immune system booster? It contains valuable minerals such as
manganese, calcium and magnesium-all necessary for our daily
nutrients. Other nutrients include some Omega 3′s and Vitamin
C for our health matters.
Cloves have been used even in Bible times to keep the body
healthy. We use cloves in our baking of whole grain breads,
pumpkin pies and our spice cookies.
Powder cloves from the spice cabinet can be used for our sore
throats, a breath freshener, and chewing on a whole clove can
help with toothache pains. Make a tea and sip it!

Be very careful when using clove oil as it needs to be diluted with
olive oil to use topically, don’t use it straight from the bottle as you
could get burned from using it. When diluted it works wonders for
muscle cramps and really sore muscles.
