Healthy salad?

I thought all salads were Healthy for me! The ingredients
are healthy as they are mostly all raw vegetables and
some raw fruits, but its that dressing that’s loaded with
all those calories, sugars, sodium’s and preservatives
that cause weight gain and even cardiovascular diseases.

Nutrition and Health:

Did you realize that building your own salad at a salad bar in a
restaurant or ordering a prepared salad made with their
sauces and cheese, you could be eating a meal of over a
1000 calories and upwards of 80 grams of fat? So to make a
much healthier choice, choose to make your own and use
the no sugar dressings or the low fat ones, better yet use the
vinegar and oil dressings, as this saves you from most of
those calories and fats.

Always add some protein to your salads such as red kidney
beans or chick peas, avocodo slices, a small amount of
walnuts, or some grilled meat of your choice, salmon and
tuna make great choices also. Please use cheese very
sparingly. Do not add the bacon bits or the sliced salami in
the salad bars.

The more colorful your lettuce selection the healthier is i
t for you. Stack the fresh raw vegetables high as they
contain on the average about 25 calories and no fat. Add
some fresh fruits also such as grapes, the melons and
dried raisins for an amazingly healthy salad for you.

Healthy Breakfast

Healthy Breakfast – Are you eating a Healthy breakfast every morning?

Are your children and grandchildren eating a healthy breakfast before
they leave for school? Everyone needs to eat a healthy breakfast to
break the fast that you have been gone through- the night without any
food or drink.

Eating a healthy breakfast is a must so we can have the endurance to
do our daily tasks and keep our immune systems protecting our bodies.

So what is a healthy breakfast? A healthy consists of eating some fresh
raw fruits and fresh raw vegetables and including some lean protein
foods so you can receive nutrition and digestive enzymes to feel full
and get energized to do all that is required of your body. When we do
not eat a healthy breakfast, we become sluggish and feel ‘brain dead’,
then we indulge in energy drinks and caffeine, fast foods filled with
lots of sugars and sodium’s that are definitely not healthy.

Make smoothies for breakfast as they can include all those great
fruits and vegetables and protein needed for all your health matters.
