Frugal Tips

Frugal tips seems to be the topic of the day. What can I do to save money on food, gas, electricity, all utilities, clothing, vacations and the list goes on forever it seems?

While talking to a friend this morning, one of his first questions to me was ‘which one of my health food supplements should I cancel’? What have we as a country done? What have we been doing that we need to change? What things can be eliminate? Are we to the point that now our health is taking a ‘back seat’ to living the lifestyle we thing we deserve?

This friend shared that the gas taxes had increased, the gas prices have increased, the social security benefits that he so desperately needs to survive are being cut or lowered, the utilities and rent have increased to the point of not being able to even rent a small home and was asking what frugal tips he should implement to live humbly. Aren’t we all taking a second and third look at how things used to be and what steps we can do next to improve our quality of life? Or perhaps, stay at living a quiet and humble lifestyle without the government or anyone else dictating what to do, where to go to seek medical advice if needed or live our lives as we so choose?

Soil Depletion and Health Matters

Good afternoon,

As a farm girl I feel that this is a great topic, Soil depletion and  health matters. I found this quote:  “Every ailment, every sickness and every disease can be traced back to an organic trace mineral deficiency.” by Linus Pauling, (twice awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine) when he made this very comment to the 74th Congress of the United States.

This is becoming alarmingly apparent as the basic components necessary to sustain our health-organically is becoming really noticeable in our health matters. We need 3 basic ingredients to sustain our lives. Water, Oxygen and organically complex-edbased trace minerals. All our vitamins and enzymes don’t seem to be able to function properly with trace minerals, so when we are lacking in them, we become that much more susceptible to diseases.

We were created with amazing bodies to derive minerals from organic complexesand when these complexes are supposed to be in the healthy foods we eat and are not due to soil depletion we become sickly. We, like our farmers, who try and add fertilizers and toxic chemicals to improve our foods seem to make it worse by doing this. We add to the downfall of our bodies defenses. These fertilizers that most farmers use cause toxicity in our water runoff and further imbalance the delicate nature of our soils. This all started back in the 1930′s when they started fertilizing the land with inorganic fertilizers and this is not a natural way to feed our foods supply.

These practices only put back into the soils about 3 to 5 of the components that make our foods, nutrient rich and good for us. Compound this with pesticides and a stressed-out plant and now you can see why we are seeing lots more challenges and diseases in our world.

This is a reason for you to look for organically grown fruits and vegetables to feed your families and see them on the road to a healthier lifestyle. Have you ever noticed the taste of home-grown vegetables and fruits, especially the melons? Why, just the other day, while driving into town and listening to my radio, there were a couple of guys discussing which state grew the best melons. Yes, you can tell which soils are best and it all depends on the length of seasons and if they are organically grown with you in mind.

Take an active stand in your health matters. You will feel, look and have more energy to face the business of your lifestyles. Soil depletion and health matters should concern all of us and become lots healthier.

As a thought, you might like to include a liquid nutritional supplement called IntraMaxthat is organically grown and prepared for us and to help us with staying lots healthier. I love liquid nutrition, because I despise swallowing pills of any size.color or whatever reason the advertisers have for us to believe.

Have a truly healthy day
