Millions with High Blood Pressure

Are you one of the estimated 65 million who have high blood pressure? Did you even realize that high blood pressure was such a threat to our health matters? Did you know the name of ‘Silent Killer’ is associated with having high blood pressure in ourselves and that of our children. There is no respect when it comes to ones age either. We are all to be concerned and that means taking charge of our health matters before we suffer the consequences of health issues.

When and if you have a high blood pressure in the range of 140/90, you need to become very conscious of your diet and make sure raw fruits and raw vegetables, low sodium and salts, and low-fat healthy foods are number one on your plate.

Symptoms seems to scarce and absolutely  not noticeable in our lives, at least that we can see. So you see, that is why its called the ‘Silent Killer’ for sure.

Results of high blood pressure include these nasty side effects:

3. Heart attacks

4. Kidney damage

5. dementia

Are any of those possibilities serious enough for you to make serious meal changes and lifestyle changes in your life? Don’t be one of the millions with high blood pressure.

Let’s exercise every day, eat a lot less salt-did you know we double the limit we need? Yes, simple changes can possibly make a 10 point drop in your blood pressure. I love fresh garlic and fresh onion chopped on my salads and this has done the job for me.

Why Children Have High Blood Pressure

Why children Have high blood pressure is usually the result of regular consumption of foods that have high-calorie content such as fast foods, baked goods like do nuts and cakes, all that junk foods out of vending machines that contribute to weight gain. As you know, high fat foods have lots of saturated fats and other additives like high sodium and salts.

Another big contributor of weight gain can be the soft drinks that are loaded with all kinds of sugars and corn syrups and they also have lots of sodium and salts to make them taste good, even the diet ones.

Inactive children also struggle with high blood pressure and obesity as they spend too much time watching television, playing video games with X-box 360 and PS3′s.

Parents, please consider the foods that your children are eating. Fix raw vegetables and raw fruits for snacks and also at mealtimes. If you offer them sweets, they will eat them. Lean protein, fresh fruits and fresh vegetables with less desserts and cakes will also maintain a healthy weight for the children in the home.

Some children, like us adults, use food to cope with problems such as being home alone and the pressure of school and home. Have healthy snacks available and fresh juices and see a healthier child.
