Health, Happiness, Happy New Year

Health, happiness, Happy new year to all of you. Why did I say this to you in this order? Stop, for a moment, think about these awesome things and thoughts.

Health-if you are not and do not possess the most awesome health that you can possibly have then happiness and a happy new year will not be very likely.  Learn to include raw foods in your daily diets, include a raw vegetable or raw fruit at all meals. Now how can I do that? Start by juicing your raw vegetables and adding raw fruits and greens to them and storing them in a glass container for a quick pick-me-up and those awesome nutrients to heal, build and repair your cells. Another suggestion is to fix raw vegetables and raw fruits as a snack for our busy schedules, if you look they also have prepared ones in your local grocery stores.

Try this idea:   Raw Apple Salad-

5 or 6 Golden Delicious apples (peeled and diced)
1/2 fresh pineapple (peeled, cored, and diced)
1/2 cup dates (pitted and chopped)
1 cup pecans (coarsely chopped)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)

Mix all ingredients together, cover, and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend. Mix again before serving. ENJOY!

Happiness is found within ourselves. Yes it is. Look and sit quietly and be grateful for all those things, family, health and the fresh air that you enjoy on a daily basis. Gratitude is the number one thing to keep us going. Mediate, take time every day for at least 15 minutes of quality time alone. Yes, it may mean getting up 15 minutes earlier, staying up after all is quiet at night or 15 minutes less time shopping, but it truly is worth it for you to stop and consider your thoughts. Keep them positive, do positive affirmations, Bible reading or whatever you choose and you will find that you are happier and healthier.

Happy new year will truly be that when you take care of your body, find time to do family activities, exercise a few minutes daily, even if it’s parking a few spaces further away from the restaurant, shopping center, church or running the stairs instead of taking an elevator.

Be healthy, Be happy and have a truly happy new year. Feel the energy of taking care of yourself. Feel the amazing energy of starting a new year. Be all that you can be. Be joy.

Green Health

Good afternoon,

green health is one of the most talked about subjects these days concerning our health of our bodies and the healthy environment we want for ourselves and our families to live in. What have you made plans to heal our environment and for your body? These are a few suggestions for us to do and think about today. Here’s why I think organic and raw foods are our best alternatives when it comes to our foods today.

When foods are grown organically, they face more of a challenge from the environment. Their biology has to work harder, and in doing so the plant ends up containing higher levels of nutrients. Have you ever noticed this when buying organic raw vegetables and fresh fruits, that they seem to always be larger in size?

The second health advantage of eating organic is that you don’t expose your body to dangerous pesticides. The pesticides used in conventional farming practices can have some serious health risks. Most Americans get low-level, but ongoing exposure to these pesticides and that can contribute to the development of cancer and neurological disorders. The sprays that are used for bugs and the sprays used for fertilizer all contain some form of toxin.

When we switch to organic foods as much as possible, we can cut down on your exposure to pesticides. I know that organic foods are often more expensive. Switching to a 100% organic diet may not be practical for everyone. Here’s another recommendation for us to do.

For meats, choose organic or wild-caught when possible. Bison is a good choice over ground beef. If you can’t afford to buy organic, buy the brand with the least processing and then trim the fat before cooking—the fat is where most of the toxins are stored.

For fruits and vegetables, if you can’t afford to buy organic all the time you can use a simple guideline to get the most out of the organics you do buy. Whenever you will eat the skin buy organic. If it’s something you will peel before eating, then conventional is okay. Always wash your fresh vegetables and fresh fruits even when you buy organic as this will cut down on the sprayed-on toxins as well.

For grains, choose whole grains first and then organic if possible. It’s better to eat conventionally-grown whole grains than organic refined grains. They make some really delicious whole grain breads and you can find these in the freezer departments of your health food sections of your grocery stores and health food stores. Have you ever tried lightly toasted Ezekial bread with coconut oil for that great taste and also excellent healthy benefit?

Healthy Coffee and Health

Good afternoon,
