Immune system tips are very important for keeping our families healthy today as the flu of all kinds and varieties are in the news daily, especially the swine flu (H1N1) that the news media seems to think the shot is the best for us. I don’t agree with them at all and neither do lots of other doctors that believe the our bodies immune systems for all the help we need in most cases.
Eating a diet rich with Omega 3′s such as that found in fatty fish of salmon or other fatty ones as they contain EPA and DHA to support the immune systems. Add organic raw nuts, red grapes and a little red wine for great sources of resveraterol to help with inflammation that is challenging the immune system.
Grab you some fresh raw apples, broccoli, red onions and fresh garlic to boost the immune system and for some great fibers to help reduce inflammation as well. Add some zinc filled foods to the menu with beans, cashews and some yogurt as you need about 12 milligrams of zinc on a daily basis. Do not overdo zinc as the combination is what keeps the immune system operating properly. Add some bell peppers for the Vitamin C as another booster for the immune system and add some strawberries and cantaloupe. You may need to add a quality supplement to get your 400 milligrams up to 3 times daily.
Cleanliness is one of the most important things that you can do also. Gargle every night with warm salt water solution to clean the throat and cleanse the nose of all the germs and bacteria that you have come into contact when out in the public places. Keeping germs out of the system will help keep the immune system healthy.
