Good digestion is when foods passes through the stomach, colon
and out through the large intestine without side effects of
indigestion, acid reflux, bloating, gas and other stomach upsets.
Whatever we eat and drink starts the good digestion process
in our mouths where its mixed with digestive enzymes on its
way down into the esophagus and downward through the
system. Every food we eat is digested in various ways and
places in our systems and how we digest it will tell us if its
digesting properly and feeding our bodies.
For good digestion why don’t we try eating some fruit first as
fruits digests quite easily, where as meat protein can take
hours to digest in our digestive tracks. Always start your
meals with things that digest the quickest such as fruit,
salads made with various green leafy vegetables that are
full of fibers then if you proteins of meat eat that next.
We want our foods to process as easily and quickly as
possible to get the most nutrients from our foods. When
we do this we will have good digestion and not have all
those side effects of heartburn, bloating , gas and acid
reflux to deal with on a constant basis.

Good digestion begins with what foods and when we eat them
so if you are suffering from any kinds of heartburn and
indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, gas, or
stomach cramping, we need to keep a journal of foods we
are consuming and start to eliminate them from our daily
meals.
Some foods that may cause stomach discomfort can be
chocolate, citrus, tomato products, fried and fatty foods,
stress, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, prescription and over
the counter drugs and possibly being overweight. So by
doing an elimination process we can have our good
digestion back and having lots more energy to do what
and when we want to.

Abdominal Stomach Problems Just about everyone has had
Abdominal stomach troubles at one time or another. Fortunately,
you can treat many symptoms yourself. Seven common stomach
problems, their causes and what to do for them follow.

Heartburn and Indigestion–Description: Heartburn (dyspepsia)
results from stomach acids backing up into the esophagus
(which connects the mouth to the stomach). Indigestion is that
hard-to-describe upset feeling in your stomach. Causes:
Alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, chocolate, citrus, tomato,
peppermint, fried and fatty foods, overeating, stress, some
medications and being overweight Self-Care: Avoid or
moderate your indulgence of the above items and eat smaller
meals more frequently. For heartburn, do not lie down for
four hours after eating and raise the head of your bed four
o six inches. Try an over-the-counter neutralizing antacid
(eg, generic Maalox or Mylanta), or an acid reducer
(eg, Pepcid, Tagamet or Zantac). When to Seek Medical
Advice: If it doesn’t respond to self-help efforts, persists
for more than two weeks or if you have significant pain or
weight loss, seek medical help from your health care provider.
