Fiber Rich Foods for Health Matters

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Fiber rich foods for health matters are important to help
resolve chronic health issues such as obesity, high blood
pressure, diabetes, constipation, immune system health,
colon health, and maintaining our energy all day long.

Fiber rich foods are healing foods for our bodies and
when our colon is healthy, our entire body has the
opportunity to be healthy. Fiber rich foods are the fuel
needed to keep our bodies energized so we can reduce
that weight we don’t want when we add some exercise
to increase our metabolism.

Fiber rich foods are also cleansing foods so eating
them daily and frequently we will also experience
much greater health. We think that skipping
breakfast will solve our weight problems of
reducing calories and this thinking is so false,
in fact, it adds to our gaining weight, as our bodies
need to break the overnight fast that we go into
every night while we sleep. Adding ways to
increase our metabolism will cause our weight
to drop when fiber rich foods are included in
our daily meals.

What are some of the fiber rich foods to include
for our health matters? Eating lots of raw
yellow-orange foods and all those leafy green
vegetables and at least 4 to 5 servings daily. Some
of the great fiber rich foods include raw celery,
cucumbers, the different varieties of lettuce, spinach,
carrots and beets. You can serve this raw in salads or
snacks or they make great green smoothies for the
entire family.

Eating lean protein sources such as whole grains foods,
legumes, brewer’s yeast, organic seeds and nuts are great
sources of fiber rich foods.

Fibromyalgia Pain

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Fibromyalgia pain is something that we don’t understand as it includes everything and every part of the body, from the foods we eat that don’t agree with our bodies, to the activities that we try and do on a daily basis.

Education is one of the first things we can do to help ourselves. Every-one’s pains are different, located in different areas of the body and the tolerance is different for all.

Even the small things in life are such a challenge such as shampooing your hair as the pain can be intolerable.

Nancy Today: Fibromyalgia pain and movement

When it hurts, just move!

Fibromyalgia pain is so misunderstood by people so learning how to deal with it and have a life is so important. It brings stress due to our inactivity and pain and that increases the pain. Stress of any kind makes the symptoms even worse, so learning all we can about our disease will make things improve.

It seems that everyone learns to deal with fibromyalgia pain by trying different foods that they can tolerate, different exercises they can do, dealing with stress in their lives to be able to live a productive lifestyle.

We all want a natural solution as drugs make the job of our liver that cleanses our system, that much more challenged. Our liver is what keeps us healthy by trying to remove all the toxins from the air we breathe, the foods we eat and the liquids we drink.

5 Tips for Treatment of Dry Skin

Skin as the largest organ of the body is also one of the most vulnerable to abuse. Approximately 30% of adults have dry skin which often appears rough, tight, dull in color – with visible fine lines and wrinkles. Although there are several factors that result in dryskin – including the genetic ones – this can be greatly caused by environmental factors (wind, sun, heat). So, the question is how to treat dry skin properly to significantly improve its look and its condition as well. So, the useful wrinkles info.

- Reduce the frequency of washing

Did you know that washing by its definition is actually – drying? Washing removes the surface lipid film, along with environmental contaminants, sweat, sebum, peeled cells, and microorganisms. Thus people with dry skin need to reduce the frequency of washing and – lubricate the skin afterwards.

- Avoid soaps

The alkalinity of soaps disturbs the normal acidity (acid mantle) of the skin thus leading to dryness. Therefore people with dry and sensitive skin should use a soap-free cleanser. There are a number of synthetic detergents available that clean as well as soaps but are adjusted so that they do not alter the skin surface pH. Some are combined with oils so that they lubricate the skin asthey wash. Nonetheless, if one washes too often, dryness canal so results with these products. It is very important to have a skin care regime that you follow daily – this is part of health.

- Apply creamy cleansers

Accurate cleaning may increase the tenderness and smoothness of your skin, so… choose a creamy cleanser and leave it on for at least tenminutes when cleaning dry skin. Let your skin soak up some nourishment before sweeping it away with cotton pad! Splash your face with cool water to remove redundant cleanser and to refresh your skin, then put on a nourishing cream to seal moisture into the upper levels of your skin. Personally, I don’t recommend tonic for dry skin even if it doesn’t content the alcohol.

Apply it to slightly wet skin. This results in softer and smoother skin.

- Change your products according to the seasons

Extremes of cold and hot weather as well as central heating and air-conditioning can strip your skin of essential moisture, leaving it dry and more prone to damage. For this reason you should change your products according to the seasons. Leave your moisturizing mask on skin for 5 -10 minutes. It works quickly and it is a great treat, particularly after sunbathing, or when your skin feels tight. Better yet – it can even remove dry patches, flakiness and fine wrinkles. Naturally, skin care does not stop at your neck. To maintain a beautiful body you should lavish the same care on it as you doon your complexion.

- Use oils for bathing

If your skin is naturally dry, the best way to re-hydrate yourdry skin is – bathing. However, when the skin is toweled dry and left open to the atmosphere, water exhales from the surface of the skin and your skin becomes dry again. That’s why bathing by itself is not enough – the exogenous water introduced into the skin must stay kept there. Bath oils contain vegetable or mineral oils and can be very useful for use in the bath or shower. Thus either add to the bathwater as it is running an egg-cupful of the oil or after taking the shower apply the oil directly to the skin and then rinse it off before drying. Also apply further moisturizers to the skin either before or after drying after a bath.

Wake Up, Take Charge of Health

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Good morning,
Wake up, take charge of your health matters today. I know this is a big statement but our medical establishment is dependent on its human victims for its profits. Doctors of the future will be knowledgeable about foods because we, the public are fast learning that drugs kill and cause early death.

Take charge of your health matters and eat raw foods such as raw vegetables and raw fruits. Cooked vegetables and cooked fruits are considered to be ‘dead foods’ as they have all of the live enzymes destroyed with high heats.

Our ‘dead foods’ are causing our toxic colons, heart disease, cancers, and most every disease know to us. When our bowels, the young and the old, do not realize how important this fact is, we become loaded with toxic wastes and this brings with it fatigue, complexion, brain and health in general problems. Look at how many of us are concerned with anti-aging, our dry skin problems, constipation and tiredness all of the time.

Number one things we should all leave alone are: ‘dead foods’, drugs, soft drinks and most manufactured foods. Other culprits are the over indulgence of caffeine and sugar loaded drinks and that includes ones sweetened with corn syrup, lots of starchy foods, double-cheese, cereals and those deep-fat fried foods. Healthy oils are necessary such as coconut and extra-virgin olive oils.

Let’s all include these foods for a healthy colon as it is the center of operation for our systems. Here’s some recommended to us: Blueberries, strawberries, pears, red oranges, apricots, mangoes, papayas, plums, cherries, and pineapple. In the raw vegetable category: Tomatoes, collards, shallots, lettuce, salads, spinach, beet tops, celery, asparagus tips, eggplant, crisp greens, sprouts, Chinese cabbage, dandelion for some ideas.

If you want to include some meat to your diet, try these: Young fowl, flounder, pork tenderloin, whey, tender lamb chops, broiled game, organic beef,frog-legs and some tender young fish and oysters.

These are foods that will help cleanse our bodies and keep them healthy for us. Do it now for your health matters. Stay out of the doctor’s offices and away from drugs at all costs. Save you money for foods and not office calls. I know you will feel much better by investing in organic quality fresh foods.
