What is a Balanced Diet?

A balanced diet is eating lots of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables
and a healthy protein at every meal accompanied by drinking
water. When we do this our bodies can heal and repair
themselves, boosts our immune system to prevent cold and
flu, keeps our skin, nails and hair healthy and shiny, balances
our weight and will also help us loosed unwanted weight also.

What a great way to start our the Month of March-the National
Nutrition Month, by using a balanced diet and getting outside
to walk and exercise after a long winter season. When we fill
half of our plate with those great raw fruits and raw
vegetables, look at all the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and
fiber we get in doing that. Using fresh foods is when we
receive the most nutrients and when we buy canned,
processed foods we are losing most of the valuable nutrients
We can opt for frozen, but please do not cook them in your
microwave as that kills all the enzymes needed for proper digestion.
