Appreciation

Appreciation as in gratitude or the emotion of appreciation is what we want to know-how do we get it, how do we have it when everything some days seems to be falling apart on us and how it affects our lives on a daily basis.

Appreciation is also a term used with monetary issues as is also used a lot these days with the stock markets, our saving accounts that we had earned have hit rock bottom for some of us and the opposite of that is depreciation or our funds lowered to the point of not much left for us.

Appreciation-the emotion-is what will carry us through life’s trials and hurts on any given day. Being truly grateful for what you like and what you don’t like is the completion of the cycle of gratitude. What do you appreciate today? Can you list just 10 things? Start by writing them down. A piece of paper, the ability to write or print, the ability to see, smell , walk, run, smile, are a few tips for you to get your list going

Gratitude

Gratitude is the key to a happy life and being content with the here and now.

Look around you, remember the saying ‘stop and smell the roses’. Enjoy life, Smile at the next person, pray for the other person, show appreciation by allowing some else in the traffic on the way to and from work, sing your prayers of gratitude.

I am appreciating my grandchildren this week here as its rodeo week at the local town. I appreciate all the long hours the cowboys and cowgirls have practiced to perform and earn monies to pay their expenses. I appreciate seeing old friends. I appreciate my family all being together for a couple of days. I am grateful for the health of all. I am grateful for their laughter, their smiles, their enthusiasm, their energies, their positive attitudes and I appreciate them coming to the farm and being with me and enjoying the farm animals and freedom and fresh air.

Health matters for all of us and appreciation and gratitude is one of the most important emotions one needs to practice daily, hourly and at bedtime so one can reduce the stresses of life and being healthy is another gratitude to celebrate.

Show appreciation to one and all. You can’t be mad and glad at the same time. Your health will improve with doing an appreciation list-gratitude list-or whatever you choose to call it. I’m grateful for all of you that comment and read my ‘health tips for health matters’ daily. Together we can make a difference by showing our appreciation for all and to all.
