gradually. Add fresh chopped garlic and fresh chopped
onion to your green salads, top your favorite bean and
legume soups with them also. Stir fry them and add

I thought all salads were Healthy for me! The ingredients
are healthy as they are mostly all raw vegetables and
some raw fruits, but its that dressing that’s loaded with
all those calories, sugars, sodium’s and preservatives
that cause weight gain and even cardiovascular diseases.

Nutrition and Health:

Did you realize that building your own salad at a salad bar in a
restaurant or ordering a prepared salad made with their
sauces and cheese, you could be eating a meal of over a
1000 calories and upwards of 80 grams of fat? So to make a
much healthier choice, choose to make your own and use
the no sugar dressings or the low fat ones, better yet use the
vinegar and oil dressings, as this saves you from most of
those calories and fats.

Always add some protein to your salads such as red kidney
beans or chick peas, avocodo slices, a small amount of
walnuts, or some grilled meat of your choice, salmon and
tuna make great choices also. Please use cheese very
sparingly. Do not add the bacon bits or the sliced salami in
the salad bars.

The more colorful your lettuce selection the healthier is i
t for you. Stack the fresh raw vegetables high as they
contain on the average about 25 calories and no fat. Add
some fresh fruits also such as grapes, the melons and
dried raisins for an amazingly healthy salad for you.

Strawberry fruit is delicious using it raw and so here are some
favorite ways to incorporate the strawberry fruit for the entire
family to enjoy the health benefits of eating strawberries daily.

Be sure to wash them thoroughly to remove toxins sprayed on
them or grow your own strawberries, as they are relatively
easy to do so.

Making smoothies with strawberry fruit makes great snacks,
great meals, and desserts. It just depends on what type of
ingredients that you add that makes them very nutritional. I
use several different kinds of berries along with my strawberry
fruit, such as blueberries, blackberries or raspberries, add an
apple with peel on, banana, spinach leaves, flax seeds or flax
seed oil-a tablespoon, whey powder sometimes and if I use milk,
I use almond milk as I’m allergic to cow’s milk. You can freeze
all of these fruits and just add the frozen fruits and not add ice to
make your smoothies thicker and creamier.
