Summer Safety

Summer safety is a number priority when we travel, go on picnics, go hiking, travel on the highways in this heat-so what can we do to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Heat is probably the number one factor that is uppermost in our minds as the temperatures here in the United States climb to well over the 100 degree mark and the humidity levels are in the upper 80% this causes extreme perspiration and sweating that can lead to dehydration very quickly.

Summer safety is extremely important and even includes the clothing we wear, the color of clothing and the weight of the fabrics we choose to wear. Staying cool is important to our health matters. I found this article with summer tips of summer safety for us to use for ourselves:

Everything we eat and drink in the heat as an effect on how our bodies protect themselves from extreme heat and high humidities. Eating lots of fresh fruits and organic raw vegetables add lots of vitamin C to our diets and helps us with rehydration, drinking lots of fresh squeezed juices help cool our bodies and give us that much needed recovery from the heat. Staying out of the emergency room due to being over-heated is very important as heat can cause strokes also.

Enjoy this summer! Be safe and practice summer safety! Drinks lots of good clean water as your first line of defense. Drink and eat lots of fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. Try to get into an air-conditioned place every two hours of being in the heat. Do NOT leave children or your pets in a vehicle for even a couple of minutes with windows and doors closed, as heat spikes over 140 degrees almost instantly when the doors close.
